Ann worked as high school teacher in Mathematics and Physics before making a career change to Information Technology. She has worked with a major financial services group in Johannesburg, in Information Systems, Project Management and in IT Human Resource Management including a leadership role as a change agent in IT transformation.  Ann now works as an independent consultant offering a range of professional services which include: project management consulting and education, IT benchmarking and assessment, competency-based role profiling and specialist job design, team building/coaching/mentoring and leadership development.Ann holds international certification as a PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in U.S.A.  She prepares other project managers for the PMP professional examinations.  She provides coaching and mentoring in project management.  She provides support and consultancy to project management offices with respect to the creation of a project office, the implementation of a broad range of services including project governance, programme management and portfolio management.In addition, Ann lectures in project management for a number of training institutions and large organisations.  Ann is the Managing Director of the Institute for Certified Administrative Professionals (ICAP).  She provides pre-examination seminars for candidates for the Certified Professional Secretary® (CPS) and Certified Administrative Professional® (CAP) which are international qualifications for Executive Secretaries and Personal Assistants.  The syllabus for CPS® and CAP® includes accounting, business law, economics, office technology, behavioural science and human resource management.  She administers the international examinations for the Africa region.Ann is an associate lecturer in Project Management for the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).  She has lectured at GIBS since 2001.  She lectures to the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) students and to the Programme for Management Development (PMD) students.  In addition, she regularly lectures on many of the GIBS company specific courses which are customised with the aid of a subject matter expert from the particular company.  Ann is an accredited Belbin team role facilitator.  Her company is an accredited training provider with the Services SETA in South Africa.  Ann is accredited with the Services SETA as an assessor, moderator and assessment designer.
